Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated November 8, 2026

This Affiliate Disclosure explains how Excursiv is compensated. It is provided in the interest of transparency, consistent with disclosure principles including the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, 16 C.F.R. Part 255, the United Kingdom Advertising Standards Authority's CAP Code provisions on identifying commercial relationships, and comparable disclosure expectations under EU unfair commercial practices law, including Directive 2005/29/EC as implemented across EU member states, to the extent applicable to our users.

"Provider" has the meaning given in our Terms & Conditions: any independent third-party business, such as a tour operator, accommodation provider, restaurant, venue, activity operator, or booking platform, whose experiences or listings appear on our Platforms.

How Excursiv makes money

Excursiv is free to use. We do not charge users for access to listings, comparison tools, or account features. Instead, our business model relies on affiliate and referral commissions paid to us by the experience Providers featured on the Platforms, when a user's click through Excursiv results in a qualifying booking.

This is our sole current revenue model. We disclose this openly, and do not present Excursiv as an editorially neutral, non-commercial resource; our operation is directly supported by the commissions described in this Disclosure.

What counts as an affiliate link

Any link on the Platforms that takes you to a Provider's website to view details of, or complete, a booking should be assumed to be an affiliate link unless otherwise stated. This includes, without limitation, links labeled "Reserve," "Reserve via [Provider]," "Book Now," "Check Availability," or similar calls to action within listing pages and comparison panels.

Our Provider network

We are actively applying to and building affiliate relationships with a range of experience providers, tour operators, venues, and booking platforms, and expect this network to grow substantially over time, potentially to dozens or hundreds of Providers. We intentionally don't name specific Providers in this Disclosure, since our relationships with them are still being established and we don't want to assert a partnership before it's actually confirmed.

Every provision of this Disclosure, including the compensation mechanism, the "no additional cost to you" assurance below, and the editorial independence commitment below, applies automatically and identically to every Provider in our network once integrated, without requiring a separate disclosure or amendment each time a new Provider is added. An up-to-date list of active Provider integrations is available on request at hello@excursiv.com.

This does not cost you anything

Clicking an affiliate link and completing a booking through a Provider does not increase the price you pay. The commission paid to Excursiv comes from the Provider's own marketing budget or margin; it is not added on top of the price shown, and you pay the same amount you would if you had navigated to the Provider's website directly, without using Excursiv at all.

Editorial independence and how we handle conflicts of interest

Excursiv's curation decisions, which experiences we feature, how we describe them, and how we rank Providers within a comparison panel, are built to serve your actual interests, meaning accurate information and genuine comparison of price and terms, and honest curation based on heritage, cultural relevance, and quality, not simply to maximize commission revenue.

Specifically:

- Our comparison sorting is designed to reflect actual price, cancellation terms, and Provider reliability signals, not commission rate;

- The inclusion of a listing on Excursiv is based on curatorial criteria, such as heritage, cultural relevance, quality, and fit with our discovery-first positioning, not on which Provider offers the highest payout;

- Where more than one Provider offers a comparable listing, all available Provider options are shown to you, rather than presenting only the highest-commission option.

That said, because our revenue is entirely commission-based, we want to be transparent that our continued ability to operate the Platforms depends on these affiliate relationships, and this Disclosure is intended to make that relationship clear rather than obscure it.

What happens when you click through

Once you click an affiliate link and leave excursiv.com, you land on the Provider's own website, subject to their own terms of service, pricing, privacy policy, and cookie practices; see our Cookie Policy for detail on third-party cookies set at this stage. The Provider, or the affiliate network or platform through which we are integrated with them, may set a tracking cookie or use another attribution method to record that your visit and any resulting booking originated from Excursiv. Any booking, payment, cancellation, refund, or customer service matter is handled entirely between you and the Provider; Excursiv is not a party to that transaction. See our Terms & Conditions for the full legal framing of this relationship, including our disclosure regarding Linked Travel Arrangements where applicable.

Provider onboarding criteria

Providers are added to our network based on factors including the relevance and quality of their inventory to our curation standards, geographic and category coverage, reliability of their booking and fulfillment infrastructure, and the availability and terms of a workable affiliate partnership. Not every listing will show every Provider in our network; availability on a given comparison panel depends on which Providers actually offer that specific experience.

How this Disclosure applies internationally

Disclosure requirements and expectations for affiliate and commission-based recommendations vary by jurisdiction. Beyond the frameworks named above, comparable principles exist under Australia's Australian Consumer Law provisions on misleading conduct, Canada's Competition Act provisions on deceptive marketing, and general consumer protection frameworks in most jurisdictions worldwide that require clear disclosure of a material commercial relationship influencing a recommendation. Regardless of your location, the substance of this Disclosure, that Excursiv earns commission from Providers at no additional cost to you, applies uniformly to your use of the Platforms.

Updates to our Provider network

As we onboard Providers, the substance of this Disclosure applies automatically to each of them from the moment they're integrated, without requiring a standalone update each time. We encourage users to revisit this page periodically. Material changes to how we are compensated, for example a shift away from a purely commission-based model, will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date and, where significant, more prominent on-site notice.
