Cookie Policy

Last updated November 8, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Excursiv uses cookies and similar technologies across excursiv.com, 21regents.com, and any future applications (the "Platforms"), what choices are available to you, and how third-party Providers' own cookies come into play once you leave our Platforms. This Policy supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are and how they work

Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device when you visit a website. They may be session cookies, deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, remaining on your device for a set period or until manually deleted. Cookies may be first-party, set by the domain you are visiting, excursiv.com, or third-party, set by a different domain, such as a Provider or an analytics vendor.

Similar technologies covered by this Policy include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags or web beacons, to the extent we or our service providers use them. A web beacon is a small electronic image embedded in a page or email that, when loaded, connects to a server and can log information about your device; we do not currently use web beacons in marketing email, since we do not currently send marketing email, but this Policy will be updated if that changes.

Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the Platforms to function and cannot be switched off in our system. In most jurisdictions, including under the EU ePrivacy Directive and the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested do not require separate consent.

Cookies we do not currently use

Excursiv does not currently set or use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies, social media tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioral advertising cookies. If this changes, this Policy will be updated in advance, and, where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before deploying any such technology.

Third-party cookies set by Providers, outside our control

When you click "Reserve," "Book," or a similar link on the Platforms and are redirected to a Provider's own website, you leave excursiv.com and enter a website operated entirely by that Provider. At that point:

- The Provider's own website will set its own cookies, which may include analytics, functional, marketing, and affiliate-attribution cookies;

- An affiliate-tracking cookie may be set, either by the Provider directly or by an affiliate network intermediary, to record that your visit originated from an Excursiv referral link, so that Excursiv can be credited with any resulting commission;

- These cookies are governed entirely by the Provider's own cookie and privacy policy, not by Excursiv, and we have no ability to control, access, or delete them.

Because our Provider network is designed to expand well beyond our initial integrations over time, this same principle, that third-party cookies set after redirect are entirely outside our control, applies uniformly to every Provider in our network, present and future. We encourage you to review the cookie and privacy policy of any Provider before, or after, you are redirected to their site.

Legal basis for cookie use across jurisdictions

European Union and United Kingdom. Under the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in EU member states, and under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis that they are required to deliver a service you have explicitly requested, and do not require separate consent. Analytics cookies are used on the basis of your consent, obtained through the cookie banner described below, except where we reasonably rely on legitimate interest under GDPR Article 6 for minimal, privacy-conscious, non-identifying analytics. If we introduce functional cookies in the future, the same consent-first approach will apply to them.

United States. Where a state privacy law such as the CCPA/CPRA, or a comparable law in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Utah applies, our use of non-essential cookies is addressed through the opt-out and preference mechanisms described in Section "Your consent and choices" below, including honoring recognized Global Privacy Control signals as described there.

Brazil. Under the Lei Geral de Protecao de Dados, cookie use involving personal data generally requires a valid legal basis, such as consent or legitimate interest, consistent with the approach described above.

Other jurisdictions. Where local law imposes cookie consent or disclosure requirements not specifically addressed above, we aim to apply the same consent-first approach described in this Policy as a general practice, even where we are not yet under a specific statutory obligation to do so in that jurisdiction.

Your consent and choices

Cookie banner

On your first visit, you will be presented with a cookie banner offering the following choices:

- Accept all, which enables all cookie categories described above;

- Reject non-essential, which disables analytics cookies, and any functional cookies if we introduce them in the future; strictly necessary cookies remain active, as the Platforms cannot function correctly without them;

- Manage preferences, which allows category-by-category selection.

Your choice is recorded and will not be requested again until your preference expires or you clear your browser storage, at which point you will be asked again.

Changing your preferences later

You can revisit and change your cookie preferences at any time using the "Manage cookie preferences" button on this page.

Browser-level controls

Independently of our cookie banner, you can control cookies through your browser settings, including viewing and deleting stored cookies individually, blocking all cookies from Excursiv or from all sites, and blocking third-party cookies specifically. Instructions vary by browser, such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge; consult your browser's help documentation for specifics. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will likely prevent core functionality, such as staying logged in, from working.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Where technically and legally required, for example under CCPA/CPRA as it relates to opt-out preference signals, we will honor recognized Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing where applicable. As described in our Privacy Policy, Excursiv does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so the practical effect of a Global Privacy Control signal is currently limited, but we will disable non-essential and analytics cookies where such a signal is detected, treating it as equivalent to a "Reject non-essential" cookie banner selection. We do not currently alter Platform behavior in response to the older, non-standardized "Do Not Track" browser header, consistent with general industry practice, as there remains no unified legal or technical standard governing its interpretation.

Mobile and app considerations

If Excursiv releases a mobile application in the future, that application may use comparable device-level identifiers, such as advertising identifiers or local storage, in place of browser cookies for equivalent purposes. This Policy will be updated to reflect app-specific practices before any such release, and app-store-specific consent or tracking-transparency mechanisms, such as Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework where applicable, will be implemented as required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies evolves, including as we expand our Provider network, introduce booking or payment functionality, or add new analytics or functional tools. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date, and where changes meaningfully affect what cookies are used or why, we will prompt you to review your preferences again through the cookie banner.
